Big news update!
Once again, it’s been ages since I’ve made a blog post about what’s going on with Moon Metro Digital. 2020 was a rough year but there’s been a lot of things going on behind the scenes with the studio. Let’s get into it.
In July 2020, I was selected to participate in a 6-month mentorship program provided by Capybara Games. The purpose was to help us further develop our skillsets, build our network within the gaming industry, learn more about roles within the industry, and much more.
The mentorship was loads of fun and proved to be helpful in assisting my growth as a developer. My main focus was to build more confidence in the areas I considered a huge weakness: my art and music. Over the course of the mentorship, I was able to release ParaMonsters and the Haunted Escape Room – an adventure, visual novel that heavily focused on visuals and the OST. I also worked on building out Battery Bot some more and improved the visual style quite a bit!
That brings me on to the next thing…
Working with my significant other for the first time, we banded together to create ParaMonsters and the Escape Room! She was always curious about how I went about developing games so I asked her if she wanted to try making a small one herself. She agreed, of course!
She’s a digital artist so she mostly helped me with cleaning up my art and producing the backgrounds for the game. We finished it in about 5 weeks and it can be found on Itch.io for $2.49 USD
The Site is Looking Fresh!
I’ve been wanting to re-do the site for quite some time because, to be honest, it wasn’t looking very good. It’s got a fresh new coat of paint and looks more modern. I dig it.
Last Little Things
I’ll be adding some projects I’ve been working on to the site when they’re ready. A few have been added with minimal info. Check em out!
